Species Description

Widespread throughout the Southern half of the UK but more common around Bristol. Habitat includes: Anywhere with Brambles such as: gardens, parks, allotments, cemeteries, scrub, hedgerows, woodland, coasts, road side verges etc. Food plants: Rubus caesius, fruticosus, idaeus, ulmifolius. Each gall can contain up to 200 cells each with a single larvae.
