Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in England and Wales, becoming scarce in Scotland. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, woodland, field margins, old quarries, wetlands, heathland, grassland etc. Life story: nests in hollow stems such as brambles and Common Reed. which are provisioned with small spiders. Length: 8 mm.
