Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, cemeteries, allotments, marshland, salt mash, fens, grassland, riversides, woodland (light woodland e.g. rides, clearings, coppiced wood), hedgerows, bogs, wasteland, moorland, heathland, field margins, road side verges. Adults found early Summer to mid Summer sometimes again in early Autumn. However in milder places they can be seen earlier and later. Juveniles are seen all year round. Length: Body= 5-8mm. Females are larger than Males.
