Species Description
Common and widespread in the Southern half of the UK becoming scarcer further North. Most common in the South-West particularly South Wales. Habitat includes: close to human habitation e.g. in houses, sheds, compost heaps. Would traditionally and still does live in large crevices such as hollow trees. Other names include 'Long-legged Cellar Spider', cellar spider. Length Females= 8mm, males= 6mm.
