Reseda alba L. - White Mignonette.
Glabrous annual to perennial; stem well branched, erect to ascending, to 75cm; leaves pinnately lobed; sepals and (white) petals 5-6; capsule 6-15mm, of 4 carpels; (2n=20). Neophyte-naturalised; casual on waste ground, often near sea, occasionally persisting (naturalised in Monmouthshire since 1968) but less common than formerly; very scattered in British Isles North to Central Scotland; South Europe.
