Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK though mainly occurs in England. Habitat includes: Rocky places such as old quarries, old walls, stony paths, rock outcrops, railway / roadside banks, wasteland etc. Ive recorded it once growing in the crevice of a gravestone (brought in by Ants). Growing habit: Evergreen Perennial. Flowers: June to August. Other names include: Sedum reflexum (old name). The leaves were once used to be eaten as a spring salad. Cultivated since the 17th century. First known in the wild by 1666.
