Species Description
Nationally scarce. As a native concentrated in Dorset, South Hampshire and the Isle of White; rare escape elsewhere. Height: Up to 40 cm.

Pulmonaria longifolia (Bastard) Boreau (P. angustifolia auct. non L.) - Narrow-leaved Lungwort.
Stems erect, to 40cm; basal leaves narrowly elliptic, mostly <5cm wide, white-spotted; stalked glands 0 to very sparse in inflorescence; calyx-lobes acute; corolla blue to violet when open, glabrous on inside of tube below hair-tufts; (2n=14). Native; woods and scrub; extremely local in Dorset, South Hampshire and Isle of White, perhaps rare escape elsewhere.
