Species Description
Widespread but local and only common to the South East and scattered elsewhere. Habitat includes: Sandy, grassy places such as dunes, coasts, sea walls, field margins, wasteland, roadside verges, track-sides etc. A half native, fertile hybrid between ssp. sativa (Neophyte) and ssp. falcata (Native). It can also back-cross with its parent subspecies. Growing habit: Annual / Perennial. It was recorded in Suffolk by 1804.
