Species Description
Widespread but occasional throughout the Southern half of the UK, more scattered elsewhere. Habitat includes: gardens (where it often escapes), parks, allotments, open woodland, wasteland, road side verges etc. Other names include: Balm. In cultivation by 1595, recorded in the wild by 1763. Flowers: June to September. Height: Up to about 60 cm. Perennial.
