Species Description
Stace 4:
Crocosmia masoniorum (L. Bolus) N.E. Br. - Giant Montbretia.
Differs from C. paniculata in perianth with tube rather gradually widened; with spreading lobes 2.4-3cm; (2n=22). Neophte-naturalised; grown and naturalised as for C. paniculata; scattered in Britain, North East Ireland; South Africa.

- Leaves ribbed and pleated at least when young, at least some >3cm wide; perianth >4.5cm
- Perianth-lobes about as long as -tube, widely spreading; stamens slightly exceeding perianth
