Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK as a garden escape. Habitat includes: walls, road side verges, wasteland etc. In Britain it was in cultivation by 1889 (widely cultivated in gardens) And was recorded in the wild by 1928. Perennial. Other names include: Moroccan Poppy, Spanish Poppy, Double Atlas Poppy. Height: Up to 60 cm.
