Species Description
Widespread but uncommon and local throughout the Southern half of the UK, very parse in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Habitat includes: Dry (but wet in winter), grassy places on shallow, stony, calcareous soil such as chalk / limestone downland, grassland, dunes, old quarries, coasts, cliff-tops, railway banks, roadside verges, paths etc. Flowers: June to October. Growing habit: Annual / Biennial. Height: Up to 50 cm.
