Species Description
Common and widespread in the South from Norwich to Cornwall, South of Birmingham, North-eastern and lowland Western England, Southern and coastal Scotland. Elsewhere it is scattered and local. Habitat includes: Ant-hills, chalk / limestone downland, sand dunes, sandy and gravelly places, rabbit warrens, arable fields, roadside verges, railways, quarries, rock ledges, walls, spoil-tips, wasteland. Growing habit: Winter (sometimes summer) Annual (rarely) Biennial.
