Species Description
Widespread but scarce along coasts throughout the UK up to Southern Scotland but mainly on the Western side. It also exists in parts of Ireland. Most common around the Bristol region along the Severn estuary and River Avon. Habitat includes: silty estuarine saltmarshes, Seashore meadows, gravels, bare ground near waterline which receive brackish water during high spring tides. Height: Up to 50 cm. Flowers: May to July. Monoecious Annual.
