Species Description
Widespread and Scattered in the Southern half of the UK and Ireland; where it can be locally common particularly around the Bristol Region. Elsewhere it is sparse and rare. Nationally it is classed as scarce. Habitat includes: Coastal cliffs, Open rocky woodland, quarries, hedge banks, roadside verges, parks, gardens, churchyards etc. Growing habit: Annual / Perennial. Height: Up to 60 cm. Life story: Parasitises on ivy. It produces no Chlorophyll and is completely reliant on its host.
