Species Description

Rare and scattered in England, Wales and Ireland. Habitat includes: roadside verges, footpaths etc.

Sect. Ruderalia / Taraxacum, Ekmania Group. Possibly T. sundbergii.

Found on Roadsides.

  • Capitula 6cm
  • Outer Phyllaries recurved-spreading, 1.5cm in length
  • Ligules purple-ish towards the tip, fading towards the base
  • Pollen present
  • Leaves quite characteristic with down-pointing lobes, with rounded terminal and scarious boarders
  • Midrib upperside green with maroon tinge, lowerside green
