Species Description
Widespread but local throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Dry grassy habitats on calcareous soils such as meadows, banks, roadside verges, coasts, sand dunes, shingle etc. Growing habit: Rhizomatous Perennial. Height: Up to 60 cm. Flowers: June to September. Other names include: Restharrow. ID: The stems are hairy all round. Leaflets are 3 x as long as wide, obtuse (blunt) and can have soft spines.
