Species Description
Sparsely scattered along coasts throughout the UK. Coming inland in the South. Habitat includes: Base-rich soils such as chalk and limestone in places such as bare cliff edges (Sea cliffs), maritime grassland, quarries (inland), wasteland, roadside verges, tips etc. I've recorded it at Cheddar Reservoir. Growing habit: Perennial. Height: Up to 2 m. Chromosomes: 2n=18. First recorded in Britain in 1548.
