Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Road sides verges, footpaths, stony places - old walls, rock faces / cliffs, wasteland etc. Flowers: May to July. Perennial. The name comes from the sharp taste experienced when chewed.
