Species Description
Fairly common and widespread throughout the UK but less so in Scotland. Habitat includes: cliffs rocky places such as quarries where it can be quite damaging. Although widely accepted as an Archaeophyte, some say it might possibly be native to the Eastern Mendips and South Devon. If this is the case it may also be native/naturally colonised the Avon Gorge in Bristol where it is portrayed as a garden escape. Flowers: June to August. Perennial.
