Species Description
Widespread and fairly common south of Newcastle, being absent from much of the North, East and South West. It is most common in South Wales. Habitat includes: Disturbed, damp places such as woodland margins, roadside verges, grassland, field margins, wasteland etc. Other names include: Yellow Medick, Golden Melilot. Growing habit: Biennial / short-lived Perennial. Height: Up to 1.5 m. Flowers: June to August. It has been known in Britain since the 16th century.
