Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout The Southern half of the UK, scattered elsewhere. Habitat includes: Nutrient-rich, compacted soils in open, dry / winter-wet sites e.g. farmyards, cultivated plces e.g. arable fields, allotments, gardens, churchyards, wasteland, paths, gateways / field entrances, roadside verges, pastures etc. Other names include: Swinecress, Creeping Wart Cress, Greater Swine Cress, Coronopus squamatus. Growing habit: Annual (rarely biennial). Flowers: June to September. Height: 5 - 12 cm.Stem length: 5 – 30 cm.
