Species Description
The taxonomy has changed. It is now believed to be a hybrid: Amelanchier arborea × A. laevis = A. × lamarckii. Widely planted throughout the UK but rarely and is occasionally bird-sown.

Neophyte-naturalised; on mainly sandy soils in woodland and scrub; frequent in South Central & South East England, very sparsely scattered elsewhere in Britain North to Central Scotland and Jersey; North America.
