Cersis siliquastrum L. - Judas-tree.
Deciduous tree to 14m; leaves suborbicular, cordate, obtuse to emarginate, entire, glabrous, long-petiolate; flowers 15-20mm, pinkish-purple; fruit 6-12cm; (2n=14). Neophyte-survivor; increasingly planted in parks and by roads and other routes; scattered in Britain, mainly South England, Mediterranean.
