Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK though more so in the West. Habitat includes: damp woodland, stream / river sides, grassland, peat land, heathland, wetland, moorland etc. Flowers: April to May. Identification: Downy / fluffy leaf stalks, triangular, rounded leaves. Height: 30 m.
