J. officinale L. - Summer Jasmine.
Stems scrambling to 10 (20)m; leaves pinnate; flowers producedin summer when leaves mature, in terminal more or less corymbose cymes, fragrant; corolla mostly 4 - 5-lobed, white, often tinged pinkish-purple; (2n=26). Neophyte-naturalised; much grown in gardens, spreading vegetatively on walls and in marginal ground, sometimes self-sown; South Britain, County Waterford; Caucasus to China.
