Cotoneaster sherriffii G. Klotz - Sherriff's Cotoneaster.
Evergreen, stiffly erect to spreading shrub to 2m; differs from C. microphyllus in leaves 0.5-1.5cm, more or less matt on upperside; inflorescences 1-flowered; flowers about 10mm across; sepals acute; fruits broadly oblong-ellipsoid, 7-10mm, orange, with 1(-2) stones; (2n=51). Neophyte-survivor; rare and scattered in Britain; South East Tibet. Cultivated as C. 'Highlight'.
