Semi-evergreen shrub to 6m; intermediate between its parents in leaf-shape, -wrinkledness and -hairiness, and adaxial vein prominence, and somewhat variable between them; (2n=18). Neophyte-survivor; grown in gardens, and has been found in the wild in South England North to Staffordshire; garden origin.
