Species Description
Widespread and locally frequent in the South. Habitat includes: Species-rich grassland with umbellifers such as meadows, coasts, roadside verges, railway banks, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, old quarries, wasteland etc. Diet: Adults = nectar from Buttercups, Umbellifers, Thistles, Larvae = Clovers. Flight period: June to September. Length: 9 - 11 mm.
