Species Description

Common and widespread throughout the UK but very under-recorded. Habitat includes: Anywhere with Bugle (Ajuga) such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, meadows, roadside verges, railway banks, coasts, wasteland etc. Length: 7mm. Life story: Larvae feed on Bugle (Ajuga) Snapdragon (Antirrhinum), Plantains (Plantago). Flight period: Two generations a year - April/May to August/September.
