Species Description
Fairly frequent and widespread throughout the UK up to Southern Scotland. Habitat includes: Damp, deciduous, woodland, hedgerows, lanes Wingspan: 16 - 23 mm. Flight period: May to June. Difference Between Male and Female: Male has extremely long antennae, Female - much shorter. The Female is also much larger than the Male. Diet: Larvae: leaf litter on the ground. Other names include: Longhorn Moth.
