Species Description

Widespread and scattered throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Dry places such as downland, hillsides etc. Length: 6 - 7 mm. Life story: Adults: Day time flying moth, Diet: Adults = Feeds on the pollen of various plants including Cowslips, Larvae: base of various herbaceous plants. Flight period: May to August.
