Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent in the Southern half of the UK, being more localised in the North. Habitat includes: Grassy places such as meadows, grassland, railway banks, roadside verges, wasteland, coasts, woodland etc. Life story: Larvae feed on a wide range of grasses. Flight period: 2 generations (June to July and August to September). Wingspan: 18-22 mm.
