Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent throughout England and Wales, becoming more scarce in Scotland and Ireland. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, hedgerows, scrub, woodland etc. Food plant: Plums (Prunus), especially Blackthorn. Flight period: May to July.
