Species Description
Very strange distribution being locally common around Wales, the Bristol Region, the Midlands, East Anglia and West Scotland; being scattered elsewhere. Habitat includes: Damp places such as woodland rides and clearings, meadows etc. Life story: Often found in number on buttercup flowers. Larva feeds on plant detritus and various liverworts. Flight period: May to June. Wingspan: 8 - 10 mm.
