Species Description

Widespread and fairly common throughout England, Wales and Southern Scotland. Habitat includes: Open areas such as woodland glades, gorges / gully's, heathland, moorland, gardens, parks etc. Wingspan: 14 - 18 mm. Diet: Larvae = leaf-litter of Oak / Birch. Flight period: May to June (I've seen it in Late April).
