Common and widespread throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Grassy places such as gardens, parks, meadows, grassland, wasteland, roadside verges etc. Flight period: June to July. Life story: Night flying species that is often disturbed during the day. Diet: Larvae = stems of various grass species including Perennial Rye, Tall Fescue, Rough Meadow Grass. Wingspan: 20 mm.
