Species Description
Widespread but poorly recorded. Habitat includes: Damp places such as fens, wet woodland, wet grassland, river banks etc. Food Plant: Anthoxanthum odoratum (Sweet Vernal-grass), Schedonorus arundinaceus (Tall Fescue), Hierochloe odorata (Holy-grass), Milium (Millet), Phalaris arundinacea (Reed Canary-grass), Phragmites australis (Common Reed). Flight period: May to August. Other names include: Marsh Cosmet.
