Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Near water in places such as marshland, wet meadows, pond / lake margins etc. Other names include: Slender Amber Snail, Succinea pfeifferi. Length: Up to 15 mm. Eggs laid in water. Seen: Late Spring to Autumn. Confusion species: Oxyloma elegans subsp. elegans Large Amber Snail (Succinea putris).
