Species Description
Widespread but scattered and locally common in the South. Habitat includes: Dry (sometimes damp), flowery places such as calcareous / neutral grassland, wasteland, arable field margins, woodland rides etc. ID: Broad yellow bands that show no hint of becoming divided in the middle. The scutellum is yellow haired (black-haired in the very similar S. batava) a character only shared with some individuals of S. interruptus.
