Juncus tenuis Willd. - Juncus tenuis.
Densely tufted; stems erect, to 50(80)cm; leaves nearly all basal, flattened; lowest 1(-2) bracts usually much longer than inflorescence; inflorescence 1-6cm, with flowers borne mostly 2 or 3 together; (2n=32, 40, 80, 84). Neophyte-naturalised; damp barish ground on roadsides, tracks and paths; locally frequent throughout most British Isles except Outer Isles, first recorded 1795 / 6; North and South America.
