Species Description
Widespread but scattered throughout the UK. It is most common in the South. Habitat includes: Arable land (relic of cultivation), roadside verges, wasteland (bird-seed / grain casual) etc. I've also recorded it at the base of a wall on a pavement once and at Cheddar Lake on the concrete steps. Growing habit: Annual. Height: Up to 1 m. Recorded from the wild in Britain by at least 1905.
