Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent along coasts throughout the UK. Most common in North Western Scotland. Habitat includes: uppermost parts of coastal saltmarshes, coastal rock pools, spray-drenched cliff-top turf, saline sites inland etc. Other names include: Blackgrass, Black Needle Rush.
