Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout England, Wales and Central Scotland but scattered and local elsewhere. Habitat includes: rivers, canals, streams, wet ditches, dykes, ponds, lakes, seasonally-flooded grassland etc. Flowers: July to August. Growing habit: Rhizomatous Perennial. Height: 60 - 200 cm. Other names include: Great Manna-grass, Reed Manna-grass, Greater Sweet-grass.
