Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in the southern half of the UK, becoming scarce in the north. Habitat includes: Anywhere with Hawthorn, Cotoneaster and Berberis such as hedgerows, scrub, woodland, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards etc. Length: 4.5 mm. Flight period: June to October. Other names include: Spectacled Berry Fly.
