Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Anywhere where Knapweeds and Thistles are present such as meadows, roadside verges, field margins, railway banks, gardens, parks, allotments, churchards, coasts, wasteland, scrub etc. Life story: Larvae feed on the buds of knapweeds and thistles. Flight period: May to August.
