Species Description
Widespread and locally frequent in the Southern half of the UK, becoming rare in the north. Habitat includes: Blossom-rich places such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, Oil-seed Rape fields, roadside verges, hedgerows, woodland edge, scrub etc. Flight period: April to July (peaks with the blossoming of Blackthorn and Hawthorn).
