Species Description
Widespread but localised in the southern half of the UK, becoming rare in the north. Habitat includes: woodland, hedgerows, scrub, downland, coasts etc. Life story: Hosts on Hawthorn Shieldbug (Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale) and Bishop's Mitre Shieldbug (Aelia acuminata). Flight period: June to August. Length: 8 - 10 mm.
