Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Anywhere with Knapweeds and Thistles in places such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, roadside verges, railway banks, meadows, coasts, wasteland, scrub etc. Life story: Larvae feed on the buds of Knapweeds and Thistles. Flight period: May to August.
