Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in the southern half of the UK. Habitat includes: dry open places on well-drained soils such as short open grassland, chalk downland, coasts, old quarries, wasteland etc. Life story: feeds on Black Medick (Medicago lupulina), Melilots (Melilotus spp.) and other relatives. Length: 7 - 9 mm. Adult seen: All year round.
